Malta's public transport system offers a cheap and efficient way of touring the Islands the main bus terminus can be found at Valletta (Malta) and Victoria (Gozo) from where buses operate to all parts of islands, although there are also direct, point to point, services. The cost of a bus route ranges from €0.35 cents to €1.00. The longest bus journey takes about fifty minutes; the average ride is between 20 and 30 minutes.

Car Hire
Daily rates from €12.00 you will find number of Internationally based car hire companies as well as local car hire garages offer the services of self-drive as well as chauffeur-driven cars. Malta and Gozo offer some of the cheapest rates available in the EU. Driving is on the left, there is a speed limit of 64 kilometres per hour (40 mph) on highways and 40 kph (23 mph) in urban areas. Bicycles can be hired from various cycle shops throughout the islands, cyclists should remember to always follow the Highway Code and clearly hand signal their intentions, not forgetting most importantly make sure your bicycle has lights to front and back as some of us may be more adventurous then others and return from a full day out in the evening.
